In November 2015 I teamed up with the folks at Willys and Shinola for Style Slam, a gathering of local and national bloggers and stylists to produce real time social content. We were each tasked with photographing our favorite looks from the store not only at the event, but around Detroit. Style Slam was held at Willys, where they provided us with a photographer and backdrop set up for a real time photo shoot. It was an honor meeting such an awesome group of ladies and gentlemen with such talent and an eye for style.
Be sure to check out the other bloggers I had the opportunity to connect with:
Willys is located on Canfield Street in midtown and is home to some of my favorite brands, including Levis, Demy Lee, Steven Alan, Ryan Roche, and the list goes on. For the event, I invited a couple friends, Rosa Mia and Maxwell Wassmann, who wore each garment so well. Behind the lens for the evening was my pal Andrew Amine . Take a look at our work below. A few days after the event I teamed up with Detroit-based photographer Hayden Scott to produce more content around the city. First we took advantage of the beautiful light flooding the financial district here in downtown Detroit. Immediately following, we stepped into the Guardian Building, a 1920s gem designed by renowned architect Wirt. C. Rowland. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping inside, grabbing an espresso from Rowland Cafe and taking in the elaborate interiors of the quiet lobby. Lastly, we headed over to southwest where the beautiful St. Anne's church stands. Beyond the church is a small brick garage with two oversized wooden double doors, where we focused on detail shots. Again, images below with its respective credits beneath.
